Drive Safely, Fall is Here!

I came across this moose just near the River Rim Ranch development.  I happened to see it jogging toward the highway as I was approaching and was able to snap this shot, shortly after I passed this beautiful animal, a small car was headed in my direction.  I flashed the car, and looked in my rear view mirror, the moose crossed right in front of the car!  I just wanted to take a minute and remind everyone that fall and winter are upon us, wildlife is migrating.  Drive safely, and watch for animals!  Idaho Fish and Game is actually creating a new database that should be available for public access in the very near future.  The purpose of this website is to document and monitor vehicle and animal collisions as well as create a map of migration routes and animal habitats relating to our Idaho roadways.
